We are seeking a highly capable, collaborative and growth-minded Junior Legal Counsel to join our Legal team in Singapore. In this role, you will be a key player within the International Operations legal team, combining sharp legal advisory work with a deep curiosity for technology and the travel industry.
You will focus primarily on supporting Traveloka’s operations in Singapore, while also contributing to various initiatives across our other international locales. This is an exciting opportunity for a developing legal practitioner to partner closely with the business, navigate dynamic commercial landscapes, and grow alongside a fast-paced multinational platform.
As Junior Legal Counsel for the International Operations Team, you will be required to:
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements across Traveloka’s international locales, with a focus on Singapore and Australia.
- Conduct research and prepare advice regarding Traveloka’s operations across its international locales.
- Support the International Operations legal team with various initiatives and projects as they may arise.
- Develop a deep understanding of Traveloka’s business, including its commercial objectives and priorities.
- Advise the business on commercial claims and provide guidance regarding the performance of contracts.
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- A law degree from a reputable university.
- A minimum of 2 years of post-qualification working experience.
- Worked at a reputable law firm or multinational corporation as a legal counsel.
- A growth mindset and a good understanding of technology platforms and the travel industry.
- Excellent communication, drafting and negotiation skills.
- Excellent English language abilities, with language proficiency in a relevant Asia Pacific language an advantage.
