The Opportunity
This is a great opportunity for a graduate lawyer to join the legal team of a large not-for profit in the education sector. This organisation is going through significant expansion, which has opened up a new position for a graduate lawyer who is seeking a qualified role.
Key Responsibilities
Drafting and reviewing legal documents, briefing papers, internal policies and procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards and organisational policies.
Conducting legal research and analysis to identify causes and devise solutions for a wide range of legal matters.
Providing support in the development of compliance frameworks, governance structures, and systems to manage legal risks effectively.
Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, as well as relevant third parties.
Providing administrative support, including scheduling, document preparation, and legal record management.
Ideal Candidate
Admitted to practice in Australia or New Zealand.
1-2 years paralegal experience.
Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and have good attention to detail.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Familiarity with Google Suite and legal research tools.
