Why we need this role
Join our Commercial Legal team and work at the heart of the business – helping us close deals and manage risk across the DACH and Eastern Europe region. Reporting to the Legal Director, Central Region, the Junior Commercial Lawyer will be responsible for providing high quality legal support on commercial matters arising in Colt’s central region with a focus on drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements with customers and suppliers.

What you will do
Deliver high-quality legal advice and support on customer and supplier matters.
- Provide hands-on transactional support for small to large sales and supply deals – primarily in DACH and Eastern Europe, and in other jurisdictions when required.
- Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of contracts with customers and vendors.
- Supporting RFPs and public tenders.
- Advising on negotiations and disputes (including pre-litigation and litigation support).
- Identify and manage legal risk to protect Colt’s assets and support sustainable commercial decisions.
- Work in line with legal and commercial best practice and ensure compliance with Colt’s policies and governance requirements.
- Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g. Sales, Procurement and others), customers, suppliers, and external counsel.
What we look for
- Law degree (ideally from a German-speaking university).
- 1-2 years’ PQE (preferably in an international company and/or a commercial law firm).
- A proactive self-starter with a pragmatic, solutions-first mindset.
- Clear and confident communicator in German and English.
- Commercially minded, able to balance legal risk with practical business solutions.
- Experience drafting and negotiating.
- Strong organisational skills.
- A strong communicator who can deliver clear messages with professionalism – and who enjoys working as part of a team.
- Eager to learn, build new skills, and grow in an international environment.
- Curious, ambitious, and committed to continuous improvement.
Advantageous:
- Knowledge of IT/telecommunications and data protection law.
- Knowledge of real estate and public tender law.
