#Your function
Our client is a leading international law firm advising financial institutions, investment funds, sponsors and multinational companies on some of the most sophisticated financing transactions across Europe and beyond. The Finance & Projects team combines technical excellence with a highly collaborative culture where junior lawyers receive meaningful responsibility from an early stage.
As a Junior Associate, you will be closely involved throughout the entire lifecycle of domestic and cross-border financing transactions while working alongside experienced partners and senior associates in a stimulating international environment.
- Draft, review and negotiate finance documentation, including facility agreements, security documents and intercreditor agreements.
- Advise on leveraged finance transactions, including acquisition finance, real estate finance, club deals, syndicated financings and unitranche structures.
- Assist on project finance matters relating to infrastructure and renewable energy projects.
- Conduct legal research and prepare pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice.
- Coordinate with colleagues across international offices on cross-border transactions.
- Support transaction management, including conditions precedent, signing, closing and post-closing processes.
- Participate in discussions regarding transaction structures, risk allocation and financing strategies.
- Build trusted relationships with clients while continuously developing your technical expertise.
#Your profile
- Belgian Master of Laws with a strong academic record.
- Qualified to practise as a lawyer in Belgium.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in Banking & Finance within a business law firm.
- Experience with leveraged finance and/or project finance is considered a strong asset.
- Native Dutch or French speaker with an excellent command of English; knowledge of the other national language is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, drafting and communication skills.
- Commercial mindset with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proactive, pragmatic and collaborative professional who thrives in a demanding international environment.
