About the position:
This is a full-time, permanent position in our office in Westlake, Ohio, with the possibility of an optional hybrid work model. This person joins a team of talented attorneys, paralegals, and subject matter experts who work collaboratively with software engineers, product managers, and usability experts.
Responsibilities:
The Legal Code Analysis Attorney will:
Collaborate with other members of the Client Services team to analyze state and local codes, track pending legislation, and draft and publish charging information for inclusion in our criminal charging language database
Serve as a legal code subject matter expert: Research legal issues that may impact our software and our clients
Support system implementations by assisting with the analysis and testing of new client charging instruments
Work Cross-functionally to ensure seamless deliver of services and maintain exceptional client satisfaction
Assist with projects and assignments as needed
Who we want on our team:
We seek a motivated self-starter who possesses the following qualifications:
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school with active bar membership in good standing, in any US State
Work and/or educational experience with Criminal Law
Experience using LexisNexis and/or Westlaw
Strong analytical and research skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient computer skills including MS Office tools
Self-motivated, with the ability to work individually with minimal supervision
Sound problem-solving skills and judgment, with the ability to identify and clearly communicate issues
Willing to ask questions

Pay: $65,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
