- Associate’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Sixty (60) credits minimum from an accredited institution.
- Passing score of 464 on the Praxis Paraprofessional test.
- Level 2 background check pursuant to Florida State Statute 435.04, including fingerprinting, criminal history records checks through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, local law‑enforcement records, and a search of the sexual predator and sexual offender registries of any state where the prospective employee resided during the preceding five years.
