Watts & Associates is working discreetly with a highly regarded Am Law 100 law firm seeking a 3rd to 5th year IP Litigation Associate to join its Palo Alto CA office.
This role is focused on sophisticated intellectual property disputes, including patent and trade secret matters for clients in technology, life sciences, and consumer products.
The firm offers a collaborative, team oriented environment with a well established platform for complex litigation, strong professional development support, and opportunities to work closely with experienced litigators on significant client matters.
The Opportunity
You will support and lead key workstreams across patent and trade secret cases, including legal research and analysis, drafting pleadings and briefs, managing discovery, preparing for and taking depositions, working with experts, and partnering with senior litigators on case strategy and client communications.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The firm is seeking a 3rd to 5th year IP Litigation Associate with:
- Meaningful experience with patent litigation and or trade secret litigation
- An undergraduate degree in hard sciences or life sciences
- Strong academic credentials in both law school and undergraduate studies
- Admission to the California Bar
- Outstanding research, analytical, oral, and written communication skills

Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this role is $225,000 to $365,000, depending on class year, experience and other relevant factors.
