Location
Woodland Hills, California. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity where you’ll collaborate with an experienced legal team while handling sophisticated insurance coverage and litigation matters.
Note
Applicants must be licensed to practice law in California. Experience with insurance coverage analysis, policy interpretation, or insurance coverage litigation is strongly preferred. Candidates with a portable book of business are encouraged to apply but are not required.

Job Description
- Analyze commercial and personal insurance policies and provide comprehensive coverage opinions.
- Draft reservation of rights letters, denial letters, and other insurance coverage position letters.
- Interpret policy language and legal issues involving multiple jurisdictions.
- Represent insurers in insurance coverage litigation through all phases of litigation.
- Manage pleadings, discovery, motion practice, mediations, trials, and appeals as applicable.
- Advise clients regarding complex insurance coverage disputes and litigation strategy.
- Handle coverage matters involving construction defect, product liability, employment, landlord-tenant, intellectual property, entertainment, and other complex claims.
- Maintain strong client relationships while providing responsive legal guidance.
- Manage multiple matters while meeting deadlines and billable hour expectations.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited or California-accredited law school.
- Active California Bar license in good standing.
- Experience with insurance coverage analysis, policy interpretation, or insurance coverage litigation.
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to independently manage multiple legal matters in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with commercial and personal lines insurance preferred.
- Insurance bad faith, first-party or third-party coverage experience is a plus.
- Trial experience, federal court admissions, additional state admissions, or portable book of business are preferred but not required.
