Independent Paralegal – Georgia Civil Litigation (Pro Se) Jobs in Georgia at Accounting 360 Advisory
Job Title: Independent Paralegal – Georgia Breach of Contract & Consumer Protection Case (No Attorney Supervision Required)
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced, independent paralegal who is able to work directly with a self-represented individual (pro se client) without requiring attorney supervision. This is a contract position requiring immediate availability. The matter is time-sensitive as opposing counsel has already confirmed formal litigation is moving forward.
Important Note:
This role is for an independent freelance paralegal only. Candidates who require attorney oversight or are bound by a law firm will not be considered. You must be comfortable working directly with a pro se client and providing litigation support independently within the scope permitted by Georgia law.
Background:
Our client is involved in an active legal dispute involving breach of contract and consumer fraud related to a custom vehicle build where services were misrepresented and work was completed below the agreed standard. A professional third-party inspection has documented 16 deficiencies with an estimated $37,141 in corrective repairs against a $21,270.84 demand from opposing counsel.
Responsibilities:
- Review and organize all case documents including demand letter, inspection report, and supporting evidence
- Draft and review formal correspondence to opposing counsel
- Research applicable Georgia statutes including breach of contract, quantum meruit, and the Georgia Fair Business Practices Act (O.C.G.A. § 10-1-390)
- Monitor Gwinnett and Hall County Superior Court records for any filed lawsuit
- Prepare and organize all documentation needed for case strategy and potential court filings
- Advise on procedural next steps under Georgia civil procedure
Requirements:
- Must be an independent freelance paralegal — not affiliated with or bound by a law firm
- Must be able to work directly with a pro se client without attorney supervision
- Paralegal certification or minimum 3 years of equivalent experience
- Strong working knowledge of Georgia civil law and court procedures
- Experience with breach of contract and/or consumer protection cases
- Excellent written communication and legal drafting skills
- Familiarity with Gwinnett and/or Hall County court systems is a strong plus
- Must be available to start immediately
- Strict confidentiality required
- Location: Remote (must be familiar with Georgia law)
To Apply:
Please submit your resume, paralegal credentials, and a brief statement confirming your ability to work independently with a pro se client without attorney supervision. Prior experience with breach of contract or consumer protection cases in Georgia is strongly preferred.
