Role Description

This is a contract, on-site role for an In-House Counsel based in Newport Beach, CA. The In-House Counsel will manage a wide range of legal responsibilities, including reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts, providing legal counsel and strategy, ensuring compliance with local and federal laws, and assisting with corporate governance. In addition, the role requires helping navigate complex cross-border legal issues in support of German companies entering the U.S. market.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, including commercial and employment agreements.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. corporate and business law, including regulatory compliance and risk management.
  • Experience with cross-border legal issues and international business practices, particularly Germany and the U.S.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills, with attention to detail in legal documentation.
  • Effective communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to provide sound legal counsel to executives and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work on-site in Newport Beach, CA, with flexibility and adaptability to meet client needs.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in California.
  • Proficiency in German or prior experience working with German companies is an advantage.
