About Us:

African Services Committee is the oldest and largest nonprofit serving the African immigrant community in New York City. Established in 1981 by Ethiopian refugees, African Services was initially set up to provide comprehensive resettlement assistance to African refugees and asylum seekers. Today, ASC provides health, housing, legal, self-sufficiency, and educational services to African, Caribbean, and other immigrant communities in the New York diaspora. ASC is a mission-driven organization dedicated to improving access to legal services for underserved communities.
