A leading global firm in sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy is looking for an Immigration Analyst or Paralegal Immigration Analyst to join their team remotely! This position is ideal for someone with immigration experience, especially in U.S. and Canadian immigration processes, who is looking for an opportunity to work with a globally renowned company.
The Immigration Analyst will play a key role in supporting the immigration needs for the firm’s North American employee population, working closely with both internal stakeholders and external counsel. This role ensures compliance with immigration laws and helps maintain the relocation and international assignment programs.
This is a 3+ month contract role paying $30/hr – $40/hr, depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the subject matter expert on immigration matters for employees, answering questions and advising internal stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with U.S. and Canadian immigration laws, working with legal counsel when needed.
Monitor visa expiration dates for foreign nationals and manage timely filing.
Maintain immigration files (Public Access Files, PERM, etc.) and internal employee portals.
Partner with HR, recruiting, and hiring managers for visa and work authorization needs.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of immigration regulations and changes.
Review and track immigration vendor invoices and payments.
Educate business stakeholders on immigration processes.
Coordinate with the external vendor and work with systems like Oracle and Equifax for I9s.
Requirements:
2-3 years of experience with U.S. immigration processes (L-1, H-1B, TN, etc.) or Canadian immigration within a large multi-national company, law firm or in-house corporate law.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Strong organizational, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
Experience working with Microsoft Office products and immigration platforms (preferably Envoy).
Ability to handle confidential information and work in a cross-functional environment.
Experience with Canadian immigration preferred
