About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Paralegal specializing in credit and debt litigation to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience assisting attorneys with consumer credit, debt collection, creditor disputes, and commercial/business debt matters.
This position is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who understands the litigation process and can independently manage a high volume of cases while maintaining excellent documentation and communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with credit and debt litigation matters involving both individuals and businesses.
- Prepare and organize pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, exhibits, and other litigation documents.
- Assist with cases involving:
- Credit reporting disputes
- Debt collection disputes
- Creditor/debtor litigation
- Business and commercial debt
- Contract and loan disputes
- Merchant cash advance (MCA) disputes
- Collections and enforcement matters
- Consumer financial disputes
- Review contracts, loan agreements, credit reports, account statements, payment histories, and other financial documentation.
- Conduct legal research and assist attorneys in developing case strategies.
- Track deadlines, court dates, filings, discovery, and case status.
- Assist with drafting demand letters, settlement communications, and litigation correspondence.
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts, creditors, and other parties.
- Maintain accurate electronic case files and documentation.
- Assist with case intake and determining the facts and documentation necessary to evaluate potential claims.
- Support attorneys throughout the litigation process from initial intake through settlement, trial, or resolution.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of paralegal experience, preferably in credit, debt, consumer finance, collections, commercial litigation, or related practice areas.
- Demonstrated experience working with both consumer and business debt matters.
- Familiarity with federal and state court procedures.
- Strong understanding of litigation documentation and deadlines.
- Experience reviewing financial records, contracts, loan documents, and credit reports.
- Strong legal research and writing skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive financial information.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with legal case-management software is a plus.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate isn’t simply someone who has worked in a law office — we’re looking for someone who understands credit and debt litigation and can hit the ground running.
You should be comfortable reviewing a credit report, loan agreement, payment history, or debt-related contract and understanding the issues relevant to litigation.
Experience with MCA litigation, commercial lending, debt settlement, creditor disputes, UCC filings, personal guarantees, and business financing is highly valued.

Pay: $10,000.00 – $100,000.00 per month
