We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Barista Shift Leader to join our vibrant café team! Duties
- Supervise daily café operations, ensuring high standards of customer service and product quality.
- Lead and motivate team members during shifts, providing guidance on beverage and food preparation, cleanliness, and customer interactions.
- Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages with precision, including espresso drinks, teas, and specialty coffees.
- Manage retail sales transactions using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems accurately and efficiently.
- Oversee food handling procedures, maintaining food safety standards and cleanliness throughout the café.
- Process cash and card payments, handle cash handling responsibilities, and reconcile register totals at shift end.
- Ensure the café environment remains clean, organized, and welcoming by adhering to cleaning schedules and safety protocols.
Skills
- Proven experience with barista duties, including beverage service and drink preparation.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for sales processing.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, transaction processing, and inventory management.
- Food safety certification or knowledge of food handling procedures.
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts.
- Previous retail sales or food service experience preferred; café experience is a plus.
