JOB PURPOSE

Lead the Employee Relations function to ensure fair, compliant, and consistent people practices across the organization. The role provides strategic HR advisory support to senior leaders, oversees employee relations governance, HR policy compliance, workplace investigations, employee engagement, and people risk management in alignment with business priorities and applicable labour legislation.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Develop and lead the employee relations strategy, governance framework, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency, compliance, and effective people risk management.

2. Provide expert advice to senior management on complex employee relations matters, grievances, disciplinary cases, workplace investigations, and employment-related decisions.

3. Lead HR business partnering activities by supporting leaders on workforce planning, performance management, organizational change, employee engagement, and leadership capability.

4. Ensure HR policies and employee relations practices comply with Oman Labour Law, internal governance standards, audit requirements, and applicable regulatory obligations.

5. Partner with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Audit, and business stakeholders on employment matters, policy implementation, investigations, and people-related risks.

6. Promote a fair, respectful, inclusive, and high-performance work environment through proactive employee communication, consultation, and timely resolution of workplace concerns.

7. Lead, coach, and develop the Employee Relations, HR Business Partnering, and Policy teams to deliver service excellence and continuous improvement.

8. Prepare management reports and insights on employee relations cases, compliance, policy governance, engagement trends, people risks, and improvement actions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

1.Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Law, Industrial Relations, or related discipline; Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.

2.Professional HR certification such as CIPD, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent is preferred.

3.Minimum 10–12 years of progressive HR experience, including employee relations, HR business partnering, HR policy governance, and people risk management.

4.Minimum 5 years in a leadership role advising senior management and managing HR teams in a complex or regulated environment.

5.Strong knowledge of Oman Labour Law, employee relations practices, HR governance, disciplinary procedures, investigations, and policy interpretation.

6.Fluency in English is required; Arabic is preferred. Aviation or service-sector experience is an added advantage.

PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE, CERTIFICATIONS OR MEMBERSHIPS

1.Advanced knowledge of employee relations, workplace investigations, grievance and disciplinary procedures, conflict resolution, and people risk management.

2.Strong understanding of Oman Labour Law, HR policy governance, audit requirements, compliance practices, and employment regulations.

3.Proven ability to advise senior leaders on sensitive and high-risk people matters while maintaining confidentiality, ethics, and sound judgment.

4.Experience in HR business partnering, workforce planning, performance management, change management, employee engagement, and people analytics.
