We’re partnering with a high-growth, international business looking to appoint a commercially minded Group Legal Counsel to support its next phase of expansion.
This is a broad, senior role offering real exposure to leadership and the opportunity to shape legal strategy in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
The role
You’ll act as a key advisor to the executive team, providing clear, pragmatic legal guidance that enables the business to move quickly while managing risk effectively.
Working across multiple jurisdictions, you’ll be involved in a wide range of legal matters, from complex commercial contracts through to corporate activity and strategic projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising senior stakeholders on commercial, legal and risk matters
- Drafting and negotiating complex, often cross-border, commercial agreements
- Supporting business growth initiatives including partnerships, structuring and transactions
- Ensuring appropriate governance and compliance frameworks are in place across jurisdictions
- Managing disputes and external counsel in a commercially pragmatic way
- Improving legal processes and frameworks to support a scaling business
What we’re looking for
- Qualified lawyer with strong in-house or equivalent experience in an international setting
- Demonstrable commercial acumen and the ability to balance legal risk with business objectives
- Experience operating in fast-paced environments where priorities shift quickly
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence at senior level
- Hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable working across a broad remit
Experience in sectors such as transport, logistics, infrastructure or other operationally complex industries would be advantageous, but not essential.
