Group Legal Counsel Jobs in United Kingdom at Trust In SODA

Title: Group Legal Counsel

Company: Trust In SODA

Location: United Kingdom

The Role

We’re looking for a Group Legal Counsel to help us secure, structure, and scale our legal operations across nine dynamic companies. This is a unique opportunity for a legal professional with around 10 years of experience to work at group level in an entrepreneurial, international environment.

You’ll report directly to the Finance Director, supporting corporate governance, contract negotiation, regulatory compliance, and strategic legal matters across multiple jurisdictions. While you’ll initially work independently, you’ll have access to top-tier external legal support and the opportunity to shape internal legal processes as we grow.

This isn’t a role for someone who defaults to “no.” We’re looking for someone who protects the group but enables bold moves—someone who can secure what matters while helping the business move forward with confidence.

Key responsibilities

Act as the group’s main legal point of contact across all operational and service companies

Ensure compliance with English law (mandatory) and support legal matters across EU jurisdictions

Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, SaaS agreements, partnership terms, IP licenses, NDAs, and more

Supports corporate structuring, governance, board documentation, and legal housekeeping

Collaborate on cross-border employment and contractor frameworks

Partner with leadership to identify legal risks and build scalable legal processes

Liaise with external legal counsel when country-specific input is required

Provide input on international projects, M&A, and regulatory issues as they arise

Help implement internal templates, legal workflows, and compliance tools

Additional support areas

Depending on your profile and evolving business needs, you may also contribute to:

Data protection compliance (e.g., GDPR, DPA)

Intellectual property and brand protection

Company Secretary duties and board governance support

Regulatory matters related to fintech, platform terms, or loyalty models

Legal input for digital, token-based, or e-commerce initiatives

What you bring

Qualified lawyer with around 10 years of experience, ideally combining law firm and in-house roles

Deep knowledge of English law and working familiarity with EU corporate law

Skilled in contract drafting, negotiation, and cross-border matters

A practical, solution-focused mindset with strong commercial awareness

Ability to work autonomously, manage priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Fluent English (spoken and written); Arabic or other languages are a plus

A collaborative approach and the confidence to work with senior stakeholders

Experience in high-growth, founder-led, or multi-entity environments is a bonus

What’s in it for you

We offer more than a job—we offer impact, flexibility, and the chance to help shape how we grow.

Remote-first: Work from anywhere in Europe, with flexibility to manage your own schedule

Global reach: Support a network of companies with presence in the UK, Luxembourg, EU, and beyond

Ownership: Lead legal matters end-to-end and influence how the legal function evolves

Collaboration: Work directly with leadership and across finance, HR, product, and operations

Start-up pace, real impact: We move fast, and your advice will directly shape decisions
