About the Role
We are seeking a Global Project Legal Counsel to support our expanding international EPC and large-scale project business. This position will play a key role in managing legal and contractual risks, supporting claims and dispute resolution, and protecting project profitability throughout the project lifecycle.
The successful candidate will work closely with project, commercial, engineering, procurement, and management teams to provide practical legal solutions that support business objectives and successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, draft, and negotiate international project contracts and commercial agreements.
- Provide legal support during bidding, contract execution, and project close-out phases.
- Identify, analyze, and mitigate legal and contractual risks associated with overseas projects.
- Support contract administration and claims management throughout project execution.
- Advise project teams on contractual rights, obligations, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Support claims, disputes, arbitration, and litigation matters in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external counsel.
- Provide legal advice to business units on project-related legal and commercial issues.
- Interpret and apply international contract standards, including FIDIC and other EPC contract frameworks.
- Develop practical legal solutions that balance legal requirements with business needs.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Law or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in international legal affairs, EPC contract management, project contracts, or related legal functions.
- Experience reviewing and negotiating English-language contracts.
- Experience handling contractual claims and dispute-related matters.
- Strong understanding of international commercial contracts and risk management principles.
- Professional-level English proficiency with the ability to review contracts and participate in negotiations.
Preferred
- Experience in EPC, power, energy, utility, infrastructure, manufacturing, or industrial projects.
- Knowledge of FIDIC and international contract structures.
- Experience supporting arbitration, litigation, or dispute resolution processes.
- In-house legal counsel experience within multinational or project-based organizations.
