RFQ: AGO24/25-103Role: BDA Geospatial AnalystClient: Australian Geospatial-Intelligence OrganisationLocation: Wollongong (NSW) Start date: 01 July 2025Contract Expiry: 12 months + 2 x 12 monthsClearance: NV1 minimum RFQ: AGO24/25-104Role: BDA Geospatial AnalystClient: Australian Geospatial-Intelligence OrganisationLocation: Wollongong (NSW)Start date: 01 July 2025Contract Expiry: 12 months + 2 x 12 monthsClearance: NV1 minimum Closes: Wednesday 11th of June 2025 at 5pm Role Description:The Australian Geospatial-Intelligence Organisation (AGO) is seeking the provision of GIS Data Analyst Specified Personnel to be accountable under limited direction to perform and achieve moderately complex geospatial analysis and production work within an integrated workforce. They are expected to have a good understanding of and compliance to relevant work procedures, geospatial standards and policy requirements. Skills and Responsibilities: Essential requirements:3+ years’ experience using GIS, andexperience in spatial extract-transform-load (ETL) functions. The Specified Personnel shall have the following skills and experience:Knowledge of best practices in data integration, transformation, optimisation, management and dissemination using geospatial data and services;Understanding of spatial data types;Understanding of relational databases, database design and data modelling;Understanding and experience in data integration;Understanding and experience in building spatial data models optimised for visualisation and analysis; andUnderstanding of statistical analysis; including geo-statistical analysis. The Specified Personnel shall conduct or perform:Extract, transform and load (ETL) processes, consolidating the backlog of bathymetric data holdings into the centralised CARIS Bathy DataBASE (BDB);Review data for integrity, accuracy, and currency, reconciling differences to ensure consistency between data sources;Edit point clouds and gridded data to remove or correct erroneous data;Generate gridded outputs based on defined guidelines;Apply standardised attribution and metatdata to datasets within the CARIS Bathy DataBASE;Apply horizontal and vertical datum transformations to spatial datasets;Georeference scanned manuscript datasets to support quality control of digitised datasets;Innovate and apply analytic methodologies to support user requirements and enable analysis, including data modelling, data visualisation and statistical analysis;Conduct geospatial analysis to identify potential improvements to data holdings, such as collection opportunities through the HydroScheme Industry Partnership Program; andEffectively communicate with stakeholders at different stages of the data analysis process, including interpreting user requirements, building analytic models, documenting procedures and communicating results.
