We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled General Counsel – Attorney to lead our legal department with expertise, integrity, and strategic insight. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the chief legal advisor, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations while safeguarding the organization’s interests. Your leadership will drive legal strategy, manage complex litigation, and provide comprehensive legal counsel across diverse practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, workers’ compensation law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, and more. Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal counsel on a broad spectrum of issues including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, workers’ compensation law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, and general & commercial litigation.
- Lead negotiations for contracts and legal agreements to protect organizational interests while fostering positive relationships with partners and stakeholders.
- Oversee legal research utilizing platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to ensure compliance with procedural laws and statutory requirements.
- Manage litigation cases from trial preparation to court depositions; represent the organization in court proceedings when necessary.
- Draft and review legal documents including contracts, motions, pleadings, and other legal writings with precision and clarity.
- Supervise legal case management systems to ensure efficient tracking of ongoing cases and compliance deadlines.
- Collaborate with internal teams on employment law matters and personal injury cases; provide training on legal policies and procedures.
- Conduct legal advocacy efforts to uphold the organization’s rights and obligations in various jurisdictions.
- Support the organization’s strategic initiatives by offering proactive legal advice on regulatory changes and risk mitigation strategies.
Experience
- Proven experience as a practicing attorney with extensive knowledge in estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, workers’ compensation law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, personal injury law, employment law case experience, and general & commercial litigation.
- Demonstrated success in handling complex court depositions and trial preparation across diverse legal domains.
- Strong background in contract drafting, legal negotiation, procedural law knowledge, statutory research using LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms.
- Experience managing multiple cases simultaneously within a fast-paced legal environment; familiarity with legal case management systems is essential.
- Excellent research skills combined with exceptional writing abilities for drafting motions, pleadings, reports, and client communications.
- Prior legal administrative experience within a busy law office setting is highly desirable.
- Ability to interpret and apply federal and state statutes effectively while maintaining high ethical standards in all professional dealings.

Pay: $200,000.00 – $250,000.00 per year
