Remote Workers’ Compensation Paralegal (Full-Time or Part-Time)
Join Our Growing Workers’ Compensation Department!
Ashley Law, P.C. is seeking an experienced Workers’ Compensation Paralegal to join our expanding California practice. This is a remote position available on either a full-time or part-time basis.
We are looking for a highly organized, proactive paralegal who has experience representing injured workers and can confidently manage cases from intake through settlement.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a plaintiff workers’ compensation caseload from opening through resolution
- Communicate regularly with clients, claims adjusters, defense attorneys, medical providers, and the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB)
- Prepare and file DORs, Petitions, Applications for Adjudication, Declarations of Readiness, Compromise & Release agreements, Stipulations with Request for Award, and other WCAB pleadings
- Coordinate and calendar QME/AME appointments, depositions, hearings, and deadlines
- Obtain and organize medical records and billing records
- Monitor medical treatment, temporary disability benefits, utilization review (UR), and independent medical evaluations
- Prepare settlement documents and assist attorneys with case preparation
- Maintain accurate electronic case files and ensure all deadlines are met
- Provide outstanding client service throughout the life of each case
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of California applicant-side workers’ compensation experience
- Thorough knowledge of California workers’ compensation procedures and WCAB practice
- Experience with all phases of workers’ compensation case management from intake through settlement
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and legal case management software
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously

Pay: $63,681.83 – $76,692.09 per year
