Frontier Pain Relief is a growing healthcare platform supporting physician-owned physical medicine practices in the Tampa Bay area. We are hiring a fractional General Counsel to own our day-to-day legal function on a part-time, ongoing basis.
The role: You will be the first response on everything legal that comes through the door: patient and employment disputes, refund demands, correspondence from opposing counsel and vendors, employment agreements, contract review, and routine regulatory correspondence. You will work directly with the CEO, operate with real autonomy off an established playbook and precedent library, and route matters with significant exposure to specialist outside counsel and our litigation firm. You are never the last set of eyes on anything high-risk, but you are always the first.
What we’re looking for:
- Florida-licensed attorney in good standing
- 3 to 8 years of experience, with litigation or dispute-resolution background strongly preferred
- Comfortable owning contentious matters end to end: you enjoy drafting the firm response to a demand letter, not just reviewing one
- Healthcare experience (MSO/practice management, patient matters, payer basics) a strong plus but not required
- Clean, fast writer; responsive communicator; able to turn routine matters around within 2 to 3 business days
Structure and compensation:
- Independent contractor (1099), remote, flexible
- Approximately 5 to 10 hours per month to start, growing with the platform
- $125 to $225 per hour based on experience
- Company email and “Counsel” title; long-term seat with room to grow into a broader role as the platform expands
