Full time, permanent, hybrid About the Role An excellent opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and motivated Family Solicitor with 1-3 years’ post-qualification experience to join a well-established Family Law team. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of privately and publicly funded family matters, with a particular focus on legal aid work. This role would suit a solicitor who is passionate about family law and committed to providing high-quality legal advice and representation to vulnerable clients.
Key Responsibilities Managing a caseload of family law matters from instruction through to conclusion. Advising and representing clients in:
Domestic abuse matters Private children proceedings Non-molestation and occupation order applications Divorce and separation matters Financial remedy proceedings Conducting advocacy where appropriate. Preparing court applications, witness statements and other legal documents. Maintaining compliance with Legal Aid Agency requirements and professional standards. Delivering excellent client care and maintaining strong client relationships. Working collaboratively with colleagues and support staff. Essential Requirements Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales.
1-3 years’ PQE in family law. Experience managing a family law caseload. Good working knowledge of legal aid procedures and funding requirements. Strong advocacy, negotiation and drafting skills. Excellent organisational and time management abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Commitment to achieving positive outcomes for clients.
Desirable Requirements Experience in both public and private family law matters. Family Law Accreditation or a willingness to work towards accreditation. Advocacy experience within the Family Court.
