Family Law Paralegal
Location: Downtown Miami in Brickell
Salary $70K to $80k plus pays toward a individual medical plan in 90 days, PTO, pay for parking and/or transportation. When there one year 401k, can go on company benefits
Bilingual is a MUST in both English and Spanish
The ideal candidate should have 2 plus years of Family Law Paralegal experience preferred but will consider someone with litigation paralegal experience will train in family law.
The candidate should exhibit workplace professionalism, teamwork and have the ability to multi-task, prioritize and work under pressure. Critical to success is attention to detail, follow-through, accuracy, communication, and organization.
Responsibilities:.
- Draft and E-file court documents with out grammatical/formatting errors
- Schedule & calendar hearings, mediations, and depositions
- Work with clients to gather financial documents for court
- Prepare financial records for trial
- Responding to written discovery requests
- Intake with clients
- Requesting records
- Preparing pleadings
- Manage deadlines timely
- Entering bills to invoice clients, entering time sheets, collecting payments, etc.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-year experience working in a law firm setting handling family law cases as a paralegal or a position with similar responsibilities
- Excellent spelling and grammar
- Excellent time management skills and ability to follow detailed instructions
- Ability to speak to clients with compassion and understanding
- Ability to speak both English and Spanish is required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per month
