Family Lawyer/Civil Litigation (5+ YOC, no book required) Responsibilities:
Independently manage family law and civil litigation files. Handle a wide range of family law matters, including separation agreements, spousal maintenance, and asset division. Conduct hearings, discoveries, mediations, and trials. Instruct support staff and receive instructions from clients. Draft pleadings and speak to chamber applications. Negotiate at mediations and appear age all aspects of a file from beginning to end.
Experience in general civil litigation is an asset. Requirements: 4+ years of current experience in British Columbia family law and/or civil litigation practice. Ability to handle
challenging work
and manage files independently. Strong judgment, work ethic, and interpersonal skills. Desire to become part of the community served. Compensation:
Salary based on the year of call and experience.
