Responsibilities
- Prepare Preliminary and Final Declarations of Disclosure
- Draft and respond to written discovery
- Prepare subpoenas and coordinate records collection
- Draft client declarations and supporting exhibits
- Handle lodgments and court filings
- Track deadlines and calendar critical dates across an active caseload
- Manage client communication and follow-up
- Keep assigned attorneys ahead of case obligations
Experience
- Prior California family law paralegal experience is required
- Working knowledge of Judicial Council forms and San Diego filing procedures
- Precision in written work. Accuracy matters more here than speed.
- Ability to work independently. This role carries real autonomy and is not closely supervised.
- Clear, professional communication by phone, email, and in person
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
- Consistent attendance and reliable transportation
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree
- Familiarity with cloud-based case management platforms
- Comfort adopting new legal technology
Pay: From $110,000.00 per year
