Distinguished, civil litigation defense firm is looking for an experienced California Insurance Defense Attorneys to join their Southern California team (our office is located in Torrance, CA). The firm represent a variety of Fortune 500 clients as well as insured small businesses and individuals in personal injury claims.
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Insurance Defense Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various areas of law, including but not limited to insurance defense, environmental, securities, and tribal law regulations. This role requires exceptional research and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to litigate effectively on behalf of our clients. The Attorney will work collaboratively with other legal professionals and support staff to provide comprehensive legal services.
Duties
Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw to support case preparation and strategy development.
Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients, ensuring their best interests are represented.
Litigate cases in court, presenting evidence and arguments effectively to judges and juries.
Stay informed about current laws and regulations relevant to insurance defense law, environmental law, securities law, and tribal law regulations.
Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, contracts, and briefs with precision and attention to detail.
Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored legal advice.
Manage case files efficiently, ensuring all documentation is organized and up-to-date.
Provide legal administrative support as needed, assisting with the overall operations of the legal department.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction in the state of California.
Demonstrated 3+ years of experience in insurance defense law, environmental law, securities law, or tribal law regulations.
Proficient in legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw.
Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of successful settlements.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective client interaction and courtroom presentations.
Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining a high level of organization.
A commitment to ethical practice and professional development within the legal field.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $142,414.00 – $225,000.00 per year
