Legal Executive Assistant to the CEO
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Compensation: $100,000 – $160,000 base + discretionary bonus + benefits
Overview
Our client is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and discreet Executive Assistant to provide direct support to the CEO. This role is critical in ensuring the CEO operates efficiently across both business and personal priorities. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-performance legal environment and is capable of anticipating needs, managing competing priorities, and handling sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complex calendar scheduling, including internal meetings, client engagements, travel, and personal commitments
- Coordinate domestic and international travel, including detailed itineraries, accommodations, and logistics
- Serve as a gatekeeper and liaison between the CEO and internal/external stakeholders, including attorneys, clients, and vendors
- Draft, edit, and manage correspondence, presentations, and confidential documents
- Track key initiatives, deadlines, and follow-ups to ensure timely execution
- Assist with meeting preparation, including agendas, materials, and note-taking
- Handle expense reporting, invoice processing, and basic financial tracking
- Support special projects, firm initiatives, and ad hoc operational needs
- Provide light personal assistance to the CEO as needed (appointments, reservations, etc.)
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience supporting C-level executives, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information
- Experience coordinating complex travel and managing executive-level calendars
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting a CEO, Managing Partner, or Founder
- Experience in a law firm, legal services, or other professional services setting
- Familiarity with billing, legal operations, or law firm workflows
