Real Estate Paralegal
Location – Chicago (Hybrid 2-3 days in office per week)
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist attorneys with the preparation and review of real estate documents, including purchase agreements, leases, and closing documents.
Conduct title searches and review title commitments, surveys, and zoning reports.
Coordinate and manage real estate closings, ensuring all necessary documents are executed and filed.
Communicate with clients, real estate agents, lenders, and other parties involved in transactions to gather and provide information.
Maintain and organize files, ensuring all documents are up-to-date and accessible.
Conduct legal research related to real estate law and provide summaries to attorneys.
Assist with due diligence processes, including reviewing financial statements and property records.
Monitor deadlines and ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field.
Paralegal certification preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a real estate paralegal. Law firm or professional services firm preferred.
Strong knowledge of real estate law, transactions, and documentation.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
