Job Summary
Seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join its growing legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly licensed attorney or someone with up to two years of experience who wants to gain hands-on experience across multiple practice areas. The firm is willing to train the right candidate and is looking for someone who is eager to learn, develop litigation skills, and contribute to the firm’s continued growth.
Responsibilities
- Handle legal matters across multiple practice areas under attorney supervision.
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
- Communicate with clients regarding case updates and legal matters.
- Attend court hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials as experience grows.
- Assist with case preparation, discovery, and trial strategy.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
- Participate in business development and client networking opportunities.
- Manage multiple cases while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality work.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active Illinois Bar license or scheduled to be sworn into the Illinois Bar (May 2026 candidates are encouraged to apply).
- 0–2 years of legal experience.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Interest in litigation and courtroom advocacy.
- Business development or client relationship skills are a plus.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a newly licensed or early-career Illinois attorney who is eager to build a long-term career in a general practice law firm. They enjoy learning new areas of law, possess strong legal research and communication skills, are interested in courtroom litigation, and are motivated to help grow the firm’s client base through excellent service and relationship building.
Pay: $89,670.77 – $107,990.60 per year
