Our client is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist, for a short-term contract, to provide expert guidance on complex employee and labor relations matters within a fast-paced, unionized environment.
What you’ll be doing
- Advise leaders on employee relations issues including performance management, investigations, discipline, grievances, layoffs, and organizational change.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, HR policies, and collective bargaining agreements.
- Resolve complex workplace issues and provide practical, risk-based recommendations.
- Partner with HR and business leaders to promote positive employee relations and an inclusive workplace.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Strong Employee Relations and Labor Relations experience.
- Significant experience working in a unionized environment, including interpreting, administering, and advising on collective bargaining agreements (CBAs).
- Strong knowledge of California employment law and California labor relations practices, including grievance procedures, disciplinary processes, labor contract administration, and union-management relations.
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive and challenging employee matters with professionalism.
