Job Description

Must have excellent skills, depth and expertise depending in area(s) of responsibility.

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Must have an in depth client service orientation and ability to recognize and respond quickly and pragmatically to urgent, complex situations and demanding client business partners.

Must have a fluent command of the English language.

Able to work independently on projects, with only infrequent check-ins on direction.

Builds strong justification to support recommendations and effectively communicates to decision-makers.

Excellent analytical, problem solving, written and verbal communication skills.

Detail-oriented and well-organized.

Must possess strong time management skills.

Team player who can easily handle shifting priorities, multi-tasking in a deadline oriented environment.

Motivated and willing to take initiative.

Specific Education & Experience Requirements

Typically requires a Juris Doctorate or fully qualified legal credentials in geography of operations.

Fully admitted to practice applicable laws in the country or jurisdictions of responsibility.

10+ years of industry or law firm experience and a Juris Doctorate.

Specific Job Responsibilities

Experience in biotech, pharmaceuticals or highly regulated industry preferred.

Works collaboratively with other members of legal departments as well as internal client business partners.

Sets appropriate priorities with client business partners and delivers results within the established timelines.

Contributes to multidisciplinary and/or International projects, leads legal oriented projects, and takes responsibility for legal aspects of projects.

Develops solutions to solve complex problems.

Areas of responsibility or client business partners may include one or more of the following: regulatory reporting and compliance, licensing, corporate policies and procedures, corporate governance, litigation, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, general contracts, financings, EH&S, sales and marketing and distribution, regulation, manufacturing, HR.
