The Deputy Manager, Aircraft Acquisition is responsible for supporting the strategic, technical, commercial, legal, and financial processes related to aircraft acquisition, leasing, purchasing, sale and leaseback arrangements, fleet induction, and aircraft contract administration for the airline. The position plays a critical role in ensuring that all aircraft acquisition activities are commercially optimized, financially viable, operationally suitable, legally protected, and aligned with the airline’s fleet growth strategy, regulatory obligations, and long-term business objectives.
Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to:
- Support the airline’s fleet expansion and modernization strategy through structured and commercially sound aircraft acquisition processes.
- Ensure acquisition, leasing, financing, and fleet induction activities are executed efficiently and in compliance with legal, technical, operational, insurance, and regulatory requirements.
- Minimize commercial, legal, technical, financial, and residual value risks associated with aircraft transactions.
- Develop robust analytical and negotiation support mechanisms for aircraft purchase and lease agreements.
- Protect the airline’s interests during negotiations with OEMs, lessors, financiers, brokers, and suppliers.
- Ensure aircraft acquisition decisions align with operational efficiency, profitability, sustainability, financing capability, and long-term fleet strategy.

1. Aircraft Acquisition Planning and Market Intelligence
Functions
Support strategic fleet acquisition planning and market analysis.
Tasks
- Conduct aircraft market intelligence analysis for narrow-body, wide-body, regional, cargo, and special mission aircraft.
- Monitor global aircraft pricing trends, lease rate factors, residual values, and secondary market movements.
- Analyze aircraft supply-demand conditions and fleet availability in global markets.
- Develop comparative assessments of aircraft types based on:
- Fuel efficiency
