Overview
Acting under the direction and guidance of the supervising attorney, primarily responsible for researching and assisting on various legal matters, preparing cases for court, representing the organization in court, and completing all post court work to include filing abstracts and any potential court remedies in a timely manner. Provide legal and administrative support to the attorneys and the department.
Education
Associate Level Degree Paralegal or BLD
or
Bachelors Degree + 2 years relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
Certification/Licensure
Paralegal Certification required within six months or hire
No specific certification or licensure requirements
Experience
3 years experience as a Paralegal or
equivalent in supportive Paralegal position with Law firm
Healthcare/Medical Knowledge
Knowledge of Subpoenas, Claims, Liabilities, Legal Procedures, Discovery
Experience in administrative skills: deadlines, filing, communications, court schedules and deadlines, document management
