This is advanced, technical clerical and supervisory work in the Superior Court.
Work involves responsibility for performing a wide variety of technical operations that constitute the majority of the incumbent’s work tasks and time, frequently requiring specialized clerical knowledge and application of detailed procedures.
Work involves functioning as a supervisor of a small work section/unit (i.e., traffic, family, criminal, civil/small claims, jury or probate) and may require assuming courtroom duties as necessary.
Participates in interviewing applicants and may make hiring recommendations.
Also participates in setting work standards, work improvements, and conducting performance evaluations. Work requires the use of independent judgment and is performed under the general supervision of the Clerk of Court, Chief Deputy Clerk or Senior Deputy Clerk and is reviewed through conferences, reports and based on results obtained.
