The Country Manager holds full ownership of LOYNOVA s Iraq business and its profit and loss. The role leads the country’s commercial growth setting and achieving sales and revenue targets through business development, corporate sales, and strong account management while ensuring successful project execution and delivery for clients.
The role aligns and develops the local team, steers marketing activities in liaison with the internal marketing team and external agencies, builds proposals and commercial scopes, owns budgets and the P&L, and represents LOYNOVA as the senior commercial and operational leader in the Iraqi market.
Key Responsibilities
P&L, Budget & Commercial Ownership
• Own the full P&L for LOYNOVA Iraq, including revenue, margins, cost control, and overall profitability.
• Build, own, and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for the country.
• Set, monitor, and deliver sales and revenue targets across products and client segments.
• Make pricing, commercial structuring, and investment decisions within approved authority.
Business Development & Corporate Sales
• Lead business development and corporate sales to acquire enterprise and strategic key accounts.
• Identify market opportunities, build a qualified pipeline, and convert high-value deals.
• Build and present proposals, commercial scopes, and tailored solutions to clients.
• Negotiate commercial terms and close agreements in coordination with legal and finance.
• Develop and maintain senior-level relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
Account Management & Client Retention
• Oversee account management to ensure client satisfaction, retention, and account growth.
• Drive upselling and cross-selling across the existing client base.
• Ensure service levels, commitments, and contractual obligations are consistently met.
• Act as the senior escalation point for key client relationships.
Project Execution & Delivery Oversight
• Oversee end-to-end project execution and delivery of client programs.
• Ensure implementations are delivered on time, within scope, and to quality standards.
• Coordinate delivery, operations, and technical teams to remove blockers and manage risk.
• Monitor delivery KPIs and ensure alignment between commercial commitments and execution.
Marketing & Brand (in liaison with Marketing team / agencies)
• Steer local marketing activities in coordination with the internal marketing team and external agencies.
• Align marketing campaigns, brand presence, and lead generation with commercial targets.
• Brief, review, and approve agency deliverables and the country marketing plan.
• Represent and grow the LOYNOVA brand in the Iraqi market and at industry events.
Team Leadership & Alignment
• Lead, align, and develop the country team across commercial and delivery functions.
• Set clear objectives, KPIs, and accountability for direct reports and their teams.
• Build a high-performance culture through coaching, performance management, and hiring.
• Ensure cross-functional alignment between sales, account management, delivery, and marketing.
Governance, Reporting & Stakeholder Management
• Report country performance, pipeline, P&L, and risks to group leadership.
• Ensure compliance with group policies and local legal, regulatory, and financial standards.
• Manage relationships with partners, regulators, and key external stakeholders.
• Provide market intelligence and input to group product and strategy.
