Country Manager Jobs in India at APS Resources International

Title: Country Manager

Company: APS Resources International

Location: India

This is a senior, entrepreneurial role for someone who has built fintech or lending products from scratch in new geographies, and is ready to do it again. You will own the full market entry lifecycle: from market research and regulatory mapping to day-one launch and scale.

The first launch will be for the PDL product, and then BNPL & others. Estimated timeline: day one by the end of 2026.

You will report directly to the Group Head of BNPL Product and have full ownership of the India P&L, work closely with a Product Owner, and have the opportunity to build your team.

Responsibilities:

  • Research target markets, competitive landscapes, and regulatory environments; build country shortlists for expansion.
  • Design and execute end-to-end product launch strategies — from initial analysis to Day One go-live.
  • Build and manage strategic partnerships with banks, NBFCs, payment systems, local distributors, and regulators.
  • Work closely with product, engineering, and legal teams, translating business objectives into compliant, working solutions.
  • Lead pilot launches (discovery + delivery) and scale successful cases.
  • Contribute to shaping the company's international operating model.
  • Target by Day 90: Complete the regulatory assessment, establish 2–3 strategic partnership discussions, align the launch roadmap with HQ, and prepare for the market launch planned for the end of 2026.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of launching digital lending or fintech products from scratch in India or other international markets. Experience with PDL and/or BNPL products is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience establishing strategic partnerships with NBFCs, banks, or other lending ecosystem participants.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on regulatory, licensing, compliance, or digital lending matters.
  • Experience working in international markets; experience in SEA and/or Africa is a strong advantage.
  • Comfortable operating under ambiguity and owning accountability for results.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships across cultures.
  • Ability to hold the strategic picture and simultaneously dive into contract and regulatory detail.
  • Experience within an NBFC, digital lending fintech, or embedded finance company is strongly preferred.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and a genuine desire to build an international business — not just 'work for an international company'.
  • Hindi is a plus.
  • Familiarity with South/Southeast Asian markets is also a plus.

Conditions:

  • Performance-based bonus.
  • International travel.
  • Strong team and real impact on a global business.
  • Competitive compensation (discussed individually).
