Position: Counsel for Health and Privacy Matters

As Counsel, you will engage with Regional Council, boards, and various entities, offering your expertise in health and privacy legislation. The role requires strategic negotiation and the ability to deliver sound risk management advice. A collaborative approach will enhance the effectiveness of legal operations across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver legal and procedural guidance to departments
• Negotiate agreements for service and project implementation
• Support risk management initiatives and strategies
• Advise Regional Council on legislative obligations
• Instruct external legal counsel and consultants as needed
Requirements:
• Law Degree (L.L.B. or J.D.) required
• Member in good standing, Law Society of Ontario
• Minimum 7 years in health and privacy law experience
• Effective negotiation and communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office applications
