Reporting to the Associate General Counsel, this role provides day-to-day legal support, advising stakeholders on legal implications and compliance in Canada and the U.S. The ideal candidate will leverage their legal knowledge to draft, review, negotiate diverse agreements, and mitigate legal risks through proactive strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate commercial agreements across business lines.
- Advise on regulatory compliance and business initiatives.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and strategic transactions.
- Assist with corporate governance and public company reporting.
- Manage litigation, disputes, and insurance-related matters.
Provide strategic legal insights while supporting Superior’s business operations.
Qualifications
- LLB or J.D. with membership in a Canadian law society.
- 4-9 years of corporate and commercial legal experience.
- Experience in-house and at top-tier law firms.
- Robust analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
