Matura Farrington is seeking an experienced Real Estate Paralegal to support a sophisticated real estate and finance practice. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience with title and ALTA survey review, lender-side Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae multifamily loan transactions, and commercial real estate closings.
This position is ideal for a highly organized professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, can manage multiple projects simultaneously, and maintains exceptional attention to detail.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Real Estate Paralegal
- At least 3 years of experience reviewing title and ALTA surveys in a law firm environment
- Minimum of 2 years of lender-side Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae multifamily loan experience
- Strong experience reviewing:
- Property title documents
- Title reports
- Liens
- Deeds
- Ownership records
- Experience working with:
- Easements
- Boundary issues
- Survey exceptions
- Familiarity with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac lending guidelines, compliance requirements, and documentation standards
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Review title commitments, title reports, and related title documents
- Review ALTA surveys and survey-related materials
- Coordinate with title companies regarding pro forma owner’s and lender’s title policies
- Draft memoranda for attorney and client review
- Review organizational documents and organizational charts
- Conduct searches, including:
- UCC searches
- Litigation searches
- Prepare initial drafts of transactional and closing documents
- Develop detailed knowledge of lender‑specific title requirements and endorsements
- Communicate frequently with attorneys, clients, and title companies via phone and email
- Play an integral role in real estate closings
- Prepare and organize post‑closing delivery packages
