Corporate Immigration Paralegal

North San Jose | Starting at $33/hour | Full Benefits | Hybrid After 90 Days

We are an established, privately owned corporate immigration law firm seeking an experienced Immigration Paralegal to join our North San Jose team.

We are looking for someone with approximately 2–5 years of recent employment-based immigration experience, particularly with nonimmigrant visa matters. This position is a good fit for a paralegal who has solid case preparation experience and enjoys working collaboratively as part of a smaller, experienced team.

The person in this role will work closely with a Senior Paralegal and supervising attorney to manage corporate immigration matters. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of their work, communicate confidently with clients and foreign national employees, and keep cases moving while still having the support and guidance of experienced team members.

What You’ll Do

  • Work with a Senior Paralegal and supervising attorney to manage employment-based immigration cases
  • Prepare H-1B petitions, including new employment, extensions, amendments, and related filings
  • Prepare and assist with other NIV matters such as L-1, TN, E-3, O-1, and consular processing matters based on experience
  • Collect and review case information and supporting documentation
  • Prepare immigration forms, petition materials, and supporting documentation for attorney review
  • Communicate with corporate clients, HR contacts, foreign national employees, attorneys, and other stakeholders
  • Track case deadlines, expiration dates, outstanding items, and follow-up requirements
  • Maintain accurate and complete information in the firm’s case management system
  • Recognize potential case issues and work with the Senior Paralegal and attorney to address them
  • Work collaboratively with the team to keep cases moving and meet client deadlines

What We’re Looking For

  • Approximately 2–5 years of recent employment-based immigration paralegal experience
  • Hands-on experience preparing and filing H-1B petitions
  • Experience with additional NIV case types such as L-1, TN, E-3, or O-1 is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work
  • Ability to manage multiple cases, priorities, and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional and comfortable communicating with corporate clients, HR professionals, and foreign national employees
  • Strong organizational skills and follow-through
  • Comfortable working with case management systems and technology
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and other standard business applications

Benefits & Work Environment

We offer a generous employer-sponsored benefits package and a strong PTO program. We value work-life balance and encourage our employees to take and enjoy their time away from work.

This is a full-time position based in our North San Jose office. During the first 90 days, the position is primarily office-based to allow time to learn our processes, systems, and team.

After 90 days, the position transitions to a 3-day in-office / 2-day work-from-home schedule. Candidates must reside locally and be able to commute to our North San Jose office.
