This is an entry-level attorney role in the Legal Department, reporting to a Senior Counsel or Associate General Counsel.
What You’ll be Doing:
Advise business teams on the legal implications of business decisions.
Draft, review and negotiate contracts related to the assigned business area.
Review, interpret and advise business teams on contractual obligations.
Monitor and analyze impact of pending and existing laws and regulations relevant to the assigned business area and communicate impact to the business teams.
Collaborate with team members in the Legal Department and other areas of the Company, as needed.
Develop training, processes and forms to support business needs and efficiencies.
Work with outside legal counsel, as needed.

What You Bring With You (Qualifications):
Juris Doctor degree from an accredited U.S. law school required
Michigan licensed or willingness to become licensed in Michigan
2-3 years at a major law firm or large corporation providing legal advice regarding key aspects of real estate acquisitions, property dispositions, and strategic corporate growth initiatives
Ability to manage multiple internal stakeholders and balance differing opinions and perspectives
Proven success in managing multiple tasks and priorities
Strong verbal and analytical skills
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Highly team-oriented
Flexibility as to the types of projects assigned
Solid business acumen
