This role is ideal for an experienced and driven professional looking to take ownership of their responsibilities within the Administration, Company Secretarial & Corporate Governance Team and to building a long term career with us. You will deliver service excellence across a range of client structures while collaborating closely with our teams across the business, as well as with clients and intermediaries such as banks and auditors.

Beyond actively participating in the full lifecycle of your assigned portfolio, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our highly qualified and performant team. Key responsibilities:

  • Handle a designated portfolio of client entities including all correspondence, document preparation, record maintenance, payments, and coordination with internal teams and external partners.
  • Serve as a point of contact for clients, attend meetings as needed, and liaise with clients and relevant parties to ensure that all queries and corporate matters are addressed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Keep client, statutory and regulatory records fully accurate and current, and complete all required filings within the relevant deadlines.
  • Analyse and interpret new and existing Mauritian legislation and regulatory guidance, as well as relevant foreign laws when necessary, and contribute to the implementation of the corresponding obligations.
  • Assist the compliance team with risk assessments and file reviews.
  • Deliver assigned outputs within established deadlines and keep your supervisor informed of progress throughout.
  • Provide timely support to the accounting and audit processes.
  • Oversee billing activities, including invoicing and following up on fee collection.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold our professional standards while supporting the extended team’s tasks.
  • Contributing to thought‑leadership pieces and professional articles in governance, corporate secretarial practice, private wealth, and financial services.
  • Benefit from continuous training, close mentoring, and progressive exposure to more complex client structures to support long term growth within the team.

Qualifications & Key Requirements:

  • Holder of a university degree in law, law & management, accounting, or finance is preferred.
  • Professional qualifications such as ICSA, and/or STEP are mandatory for this position.
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in the financial services sector, either in Mauritius or abroad.
  • Ability to work independently, remain composed under pressure and deliver within tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy, strong organisational skills, and effective time management are required.
  • A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills and a readiness to go above and beyond when needed.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Comfortable handling complex matters with sound judgment and a proactive, solution oriented approach.
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook).
