Overview:
The Contract Specialist is responsible for negotiating, reviewing, and managing contracts that support oil and gas operations, with a primary focus on IT-related agreements. This role works closely with internal stakeholders, legal counsel, and vendors to ensure contracts protect the company’s interests while meeting business and project requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Review, redline, and negotiate IT-related contracts and agreements.
- Negotiate terms and conditions for Professional Services, software licenses, SaaS, data licensing, hardware, telecommunications, Statements of Work (SOWs), and Order Forms.
- Collaborate with engineering, technical teams, risk management, tax, legal, and outside counsel throughout the contracting process.
- Ensure contracts comply with company policies and protect organizational interests.
- Manage vendor and contractor agreements from negotiation through execution.
- Support contract administration and maintain accurate contract documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5+ years of directly related contract management experience.
- Proven experience redlining and negotiating:
- Professional Services Agreements
- Software License Agreements
- SaaS Agreements
- Data Licensing Agreements
- Hardware Agreements
- Telecommunications Agreements
- Statements of Work (SOWs)
- Order Forms
- Strong contract negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Experience collaborating with legal teams and cross-functional business partners.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Must meet conditional job offer requirements.
