Contract Specialist III – IT Software | Energy Industry Leader
We’re looking for a Contract Specialist III – IT Software to support a leading energy client by managing the full lifecycle of complex IT software contracts. This is a high‑impact, on‑site contract role for a seasoned professional with deep expertise in IT software procurement and negotiation.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead solicitation, negotiation, award, and post-award administration of IT software contracts
- Negotiate and execute complex agreements (MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, POCs, etc.)
- Manage post‑execution contract administration and resolve invoice issues
- Conduct RFPs using the company’s approved sourcing tools
- Maintain contract files in compliance with document retention policies
- Partner closely with Legal to ensure compliance with contractual and statutory requirements
- Support audit activities and mitigate procurement and compliance risks
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline contracting processes
- Manage multiple software contract assignments with strong stakeholder engagement
- Optimize total cost of ownership while protecting business value
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 10+ years of hands‑on experience negotiating IT software contracts
- Strong understanding of the IT software contracting lifecycle
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to influence decisions and manage senior stakeholders effectively
📍 Location: Houston, TX (hybrid after training)
💵 Pay: $57 – $60/hour.
