Job Description
Job Summary
Reporting to the General Corporate Counsel, this position works closely with the Contracts team to support our various lines of business. The role involves assisting with case law and litigation research, conducting data analysis, and providing high-quality client support. The ideal candidate must be able to balance priorities, ensure accuracy, and complete tasks timely. A professional demeanor and effective communication skills are essential, as the candidate will interact with management, suppliers, and customers.
Responsibilities
Review, edit, and manage Non-Disclosure Agreements
Conduct contractual review of construction contracts for customers and suppliers
Negotiate contracts with customers and suppliers
Manage litigation files
Review and edit credit applications
Ensure contractual deadlines and notice requirements are met
Coordinate with outside counsel through the General Counsel
Work effectively in a deadline-driven environment
Handle a high volume of workload
Enhance knowledge in Construction Law
Technical Requirements
Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal degree; licensed or willing to obtain licensure in New Brunswick
At least 4 years of post-call experience, preferably in commercial law
Strong understanding of construction contracts (e.g., CCDC, AIA, bespoke agreements)
Experience in construction law is a strong asset
Business Requirements

Ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Strong interpersonal skills and confidence in communication across all levels of the organization
