About the Role
Pacific Ivy Law Group is seeking an experienced attorney to take primary responsibility for NDA review and negotiations for a sophisticated, high-touch client.
This is a highly client-facing role that requires more than strong contract drafting skills. We are looking for someone who is exceptionally reliable, responsive, detail-oriented, and service-minded, and who takes genuine ownership of their work and client relationships.
The right attorney will be comfortable exercising independent legal and commercial judgment, communicating directly with sophisticated clients and counterparties, and taking responsibility for matters from receipt through completion.
This is a long-term role. Consistent availability and responsiveness during Eastern Time business hours are essential.
The Work
- Review, edit, and negotiate non-disclosure agreements
- Communicate directly with clients and counterparties to move negotiations to completion
- Provide responsive, high-touch client service and proactively follow up on outstanding matters
- Complete related administrative and operational tasks, including maintaining accurate information in the client’s contract-management platform
- Take end-to-end ownership of assigned matters and ensure that nothing falls through the cracks
- Review and send documents within required turnaround times, generally within 24 hours of receipt for standard requests and same day turn around for rush requests.
What We’re Looking For
- Active membership in at least one U.S. state bar
- Meaningful experience reviewing and negotiating NDAs and other commercial agreements
- Strong corporate and transactional knowledge and the ability to understand the business context behind contractual provisions
- Prior experience at a law firm and/or in-house legal department; sophisticated corporate/transactional experience strongly preferred
- Excellent judgment and the ability to work independently without requiring significant day-to-day supervision
- Exceptional attention to detail and consistently accurate work product
- Strong client-facing communication skills
- Highly reliable, responsive, and organized
- A service-oriented mindset and willingness to take ownership of both substantive legal work and the operational details necessary to serve the client well
- Strong follow-through: when you take responsibility for something, you see it through to completion
Availability & Commitment
- Must have capacity for at least 25 hours per week
- Must be available and responsive during 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday
- This is an ongoing client relationship, and dependable weekday coverage is essential
- This is intended to be a long-term, ongoing engagement. We are looking for someone interested in becoming a consistent part of our client-service team, not a short-term contract.
- Work is fully remote
Current volume is approximately 40-50 NDAs per month, although volume may fluctuate.
