About the Company

Join our Client's team as a Contract Administrator based in Brisbane, Queensland. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for managing the contractual requirements and obligations for construction projects. This highly strategic position plays a crucial part in ensuring the successful delivery of our clients' construction initiatives. Project Values ranging from $30m – $90m ranging across Education, High-rise and Hospitality industries.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the contractual requirements and obligations for construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, negotiate and administer complex construction contracts and subcontracts
  • Monitor contract performance and compliance, including tracking key milestones and deliverables
  • Identify and resolve contractual issues, escalating where necessary
  • Manage variations, extensions of time, claims and other contractual changes
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting on contract status and performance
  • Assist in the preparation of tender submissions and responses
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, clients and subcontractors to ensure effective contract management

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Law, Construction Management or a related discipline is highly regarded

Required Skills

  • Significant experience (2+ years) in a contract administration or similar role within the construction industry
  • Excellent knowledge of construction contracts, including standard forms like AS2124, AS4000 and ABCC requirements
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to interpret and apply complex contractual terms
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying and resolving contractual issues
  • Proficient in contract administration software and MS Office suite
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in the Education, High-rise and Hospitality industries

Pay range and compensation package

Base salary $140k – 180k plus super
