Company Overview
We are a real estate development company based in Glenbrook, /Lake Tahoe NV, with a legal focus on real estate and various types of civil cases, real estate transactions, development matters, and entitlement work. We’re seeking an experienced Paralegal or experienced Law Clerk to support our small office with various activities such as document production, research and preparation of interrogatories, as well as reviewing complaints. About the Role
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys legal and entitlement work in a fast-paced real estate development environment. You’ll assist with drafting, formatting, producing, and organizing various types of legal documents, along with a few general office duties that keep the team running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Review, format, and proofread legal documents related to civil cases involving real estate transactions and development
- Organize and maintain document files, contracts, and correspondence
- Be responsible for document production, and initial research as well as drafting of interrogatories. Help with due diligence documents review and preparation
- Support general office administration (scheduling, filing, correspondence, ordering supplies)
- Coordinate with attorneys, paralegals, title companies, Insurance agents, and other parties as needed
- Handle other document production and clerical tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Degree in paralegal studies, legal studies, pre-law, or related field (or currently pursuing)
- Experience, degree, or Internship, in/law firm is a plus
- Strong writing, proofreading, and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace
- Eager to learn, detail-oriented, responsible, have the ability to work alone, and ability to multitask
- Must have the ability to reliable work onsite year-round in Glenbrook/Lake Tahoe, NV
Compensation & Terms
- $50,000–$65,000, commensurate with experience
- Independent contractor position (1099)
