Our client is a well-established financial institution known for upholding the highest standards of compliance and ethical integrity. To strengthen their Swiss operations, they are seeking a strategic and hands-on Compliance Officer & Legal Counsel (50–60%) to lead core regulatory and legal responsibilities.
Your Responsibilities include:
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies
Evaluate and continuously improve the effectiveness of compliance controls
Identify and assess compliance risks; implement integrated control processes
Act as the main point of contact with regulatory authorities
Investigate potential compliance breaches in coordination with Legal and Internal Audit
Conduct compliance audits and support the development of new internal policies
Oversee whistleblowing and complaints handling procedures
Prepare regular reports on compliance and ethics risks for senior stakeholders
Assist the Legal function with legal risk assessments, contract reviews, and documentation
Your Profile
Several years of proven experience as a Compliance Officer within a financial institution in Switzerland
University degree in Law; Swiss bar admission is an advantage
High ethical standards, integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility
Strategic mindset combined with a pragmatic, hands-on approach
Excellent communication skills in German and English (both written and spoken); additional languages are a plus
